Policies for Classes & Workshops
Registration
Mail in the Registration Form along with your cheque (no cash please) made out to Humber Valley Art Club, to our Registrar, Carol Essex, 66 Richland Crescent, Etobicoke, On, M9C 4C3.
Registration for Members and Non-Members
Non-Members may register in one series of Wednesday workshops or one session of Monday classes without being a member, just to give HVAC a try. Membership in HVAC & NPCC is required for future classes or workshops.
Registrations for members will be accepted beginning on May 15, preceding the workshop season. Non-members may register beginning on June 15. Receipts will not be issued. If the class or workshop is full, the Registrar will let you know.
Cancellation of Classes & Workshops
Classes & Workshops may be cancelled by Humber Valley Art Club up to two weeks in advance of the beginning of the series in case of under-enrolment. A full refund will be issued.
Cancellations Due to Weather
In case of extreme weather conditions, a class or workshop will be cancelled by email before 8:30 a.m. on the day of the workshop. Check your email for notification.
Weather cancellations will be rescheduled on an alternate date and you will be notified of the make-up date by email. Refunds are not available if a make-up date is scheduled. Phone Registrar Carol Essex to inquire about weather cancellations @ 416 621-8660.
Instructor Substitution
In case of illness of the instructor, HVAC reserves the right to provide an alternate instructor who will follow the workshop program as described.
Unable to Attend Classes or Workshops?
If you are unable to attend a series in which you have registered, a refund will not be offered. However you may phone the Registrar and ask that you may be transferred to another series that you are able to attend. However this change needs to happen at least two weeks ahead of the start of the series in which you are registered.
You may also sell your series (or a particular class in the series) to another member, but you need to inform the Registrar of these arrangements.
Waiting Lists for Classes or Workshops
If a series is fully booked, the Registrar will inform you and will start a waiting list. If you have registered in a series that is fully booked and you wish to sell your spot in the series, you will need to contact the Registrar so that she can arrange for you to sell your spot to the person at the top of the waiting list.
